Program notes
love songs (after Daft Punk) is a full-length experience for amplified ensemble and electronics. In a genre-crossing narrative between ambient and experimental music, granular remixes of Daft Punk’s album Discovery merge with fragments from William Shakespeare’s poem Venus & Adonis — a statement on the present state of love and a reflection on death – suspended between post-romantic longing and pop-cultural dissolution.
Première
31/01/2025 - Ensemble S201 | Naxos Hallenkonzerte - Frankfurt (DE)
